Psychological Evaluations

Understanding Psychological Evaluations

Psychological evaluations involve the administration of various tests and assessment tools which are designed to measure different parameters of an individual's functioning (e.g., intelligence, social functioning, communication, learning, personality, emotional functioning). Results are subsequently analyzed and interpreted in order to develop a deeper understanding of the individual. In some cases, results may warrant a diagnosis. Finally, the findings of psychological evaluations are used to develop targeted treatment plans which address areas of concern.
